FAQ

Do you still have questions about our offer?

Do you have to be established before filing?

No, quite the opposite. For some subsidies, an already established company is an exclusion criterion. You can apply for the vast majority of grants even before the company is founded. You can wait until you have received a positive funding decision before setting up and if you want the funding body to transfer the first installment, you must set up by then at the latest. This can also be several months after the funding approval.

With us, consulting means working intensively with you on your application. The line between us and an incubator is sometimes blurred because we challenge you. We don't just copy what you tell us, we scrutinize everything you tell us as critically as investors or funding agencies do. We are your strictest (but friendly) critics: always constructive, because the end result should be an application that is "well-rounded", "from a single source", plausible for experts who have already seen hundreds of applications - and that is usually the case with funding bodies. As our payment is usually success-based, we are only satisfied when the application meets these criteria.

If you don't need the full program as described above, we also offer a smaller scope of advice at a significantly reduced price. However, we don't "just look over it", because the quality has to be right. Before you submit a bad application, you might as well save yourself the work.

Firstly, our consulting is much more than just consulting (see FAQ 1), we are very hands-on. AI is a very powerful tool that can and should be used. But firstly, AI has no "intelligence", it is just a statistical method, albeit a very good one. And therefore the same applies here: "Shit in, shit out". You have to feed the AI the right thing to get a good result AND you have to have the knowledge to assess the result. If you can do that AND revise and correct what the AI spits out, that can be a starting point for us. Then you can actually book our cheaper, flexible package, in which we don't have the lead in writing the application, you do. And from here, we "challenge" you and your application and that still brings a lot of added value, despite AI (keyword "Expert in the Loop"). Recently, there was a funding call specialized in AI at an Austria-wide funding agency. It was proven that 83% of applicants did NOT come to the jury at all. Of our customers, however, 66% came to the jury, i.e. 66% intermediate success instead of 17% for those who submitted alone and with AI - but without us. And every one of them really was an AI expert, because this call was about AI. Our added value made precisely this considerable difference.

There is none. Our success-based model means there is no risk for you or your company. The low commission fee simply ensures that there is commitment from the customer to work with us, because we can't write a good proposal without you. And if it were completely free with us, we would hardly be able to cope with the rush of customers, but many of those who then commission us might not have enough time and commitment to write a great application together with us.

No. It is better to contact us as early as possible and we will then tell you in which areas you can prepare what. If you prepare weeks or months in advance before you start with us, you will have lost a lot of valuable calendar time and perhaps even missed out on your first funding opportunities.

There's no such thing as too early, because if it really is too early, you simply apply again six months later, for example. What's much worse is that customers keep coming to us who are much too late. The closer you are to market entry, the fewer subsidies there are. There may still be guarantees for bank loans or loans from funding agencies. But there are almost no (large) grants left. The more there is to develop, the better it is for eligibility. Even if you don't yet know what your solution should look like, but essentially only know the problem and are still in the ideation phase, there are already various subsidies that are possible. The result of such a project could then, for example, be the starting point for a new R&D project, such as a basic program.

This is extremely rare, because the vast majority of our customers receive at least one grant, as we don't usually apply for just one grant, but several. We often have the luxury problem that our customers receive several grants but are not allowed to accept all of them, i.e. the reverse situation where someone does not receive any grant at all. But yes, it can happen that you don't receive a grant at all. Nothing happens to you financially, you don't have to pay us anything, it was simply our entrepreneurial risk that we worked for nothing, so to speak. But we have enough experience over the years to avoid exactly that.

After submission, it usually takes 2-3 months until you receive a result from the funding agency and then usually another 1 month until the money flows. However, it can also take considerably longer, so the earlier you apply, the better.

Yes, you just have to announce it and you usually can't combine funding and at least you can't get two grants at the same time for exactly the same costs. But two differently defined projects - that's also the trick - can run simultaneously or overlap.

All those that come into question and make sense, i.e. have a reasonable chance of approval and a possible funding amount in relation to the amount of work required. This depends on your project, the location and other factors, which we will clarify with you in the initial meeting.

Some grants are only available once (calls). Then the question does not arise at all. For others, it depends on what the reasons for rejection were, whether you had errors in your application or similar.
